This year’s coronation ceremony was terrific, with the community enjoying strawberry shortcake while the princesses arrived by carriage. Speaker June Jones brought past Planters Days experiences to life, and gave a great introduction to the Grand Marshal of this years parade; 2010 Citizen of the year, past Mayor and retired Police Chief, the Honorable Jim Graham.

2010 Queen Mia Patterson, with some help from 2010 Princess Caitlyn Brentin, and Kayla Goss, gave a heart warming thank you to the Royal Court Chaperones April Chunn and Diane Suomi before crowning this years Queen.

Woodland Mayor Chuck Blum concluded the ceremonies by officially recognizing Queen Jessica as Miss Woodland, 2011. After some post coronation mingling the community adjourned to wander the carnival or enjoy the live music at Hoffman Plaza provided by local band, A Tale Though Audio before the fireworks started.

With the wonderful weather and enganging events this years Planters Days is a must attend, and the Planters Days Committee hopes to see you this weekend!
